SCREENii
SCREENii is a portable 2-in-1 health assessment device that combines hand grip strength and gait speed measurement in a single system. Using high-precision sensors and LiDAR technology, it enables gait speed testing with minimal space requirements while providing accurate measurements of muscle strength and mobility. Its one-touch, automated workflow allows the complete assessment, including preparation and guidance, to be conducted in under one minute.
Co-developed by Singapore General Hospital, the University of the Sunshine Coast and Pukang, SCREENii has been clinically validated among community-dwelling older adults and approved by Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority. The system generates risk assessment reports to support clinical decision-making, making it suitable for early frailty assessment, sarcopenia screening, fall risk assessment, functional evaluation and rehabilitation monitoring.
Benefits of SCREENii:
- 2-in-1 Functional Assessment: Combines hand grip strength and gait speed measurement in one portable device
- Space-Efficient Gait Testing: LiDAR technology enables gait speed assessment with minimal walking space required
- Rapid One-Touch Operation: Completes the assessment in under one minute, including preparation and guidance
- Objective Risk Assessment: Generates reports to support clinical interpretation and timely intervention planning
- Portable and Flexible Design: Long battery life supports both handheld and fixed use across different care settings
- Broad Screening Applications: Supports frailty, sarcopenia and fall risk assessment, as well as rehabilitation monitoring

HET Series
The BMEC HET Series is a multi-joint smart evaluation and interactive training system that integrates physical performance assessment with exercise training. The complete series comprises nine dedicated units for the upper limbs, lower limbs and core, covering knee extension, knee flexion, trunk flexion, trunk extension, chest press, seated row, arm press-down, lat pull-down and lower-limb leg press. Together, these units support comprehensive muscle strength, endurance, joint mobility and physical conditioning programmes.
Built-in isometric, isotonic and isokinetic testing modes provide objective data on muscle strength, torque, endurance and joint range of motion. Based on the assessment results, trainers can create personalised programmes using isometric, isotonic, isokinetic and continuous passive joint training modes. Real-time visual feedback, adjustable range of motion and digital session records support controlled programme progression, while the management system connects assessment and training data for ongoing performance evaluation.
Benefits of the BMEC HET Series:
- Integrated Multi-Joint System: Provides nine specialised units for assessing and training the upper limbs, lower limbs and core
- Assessment-Guided Training: Uses objective performance data to support personalised exercise programme planning
- Multiple Testing Modes: Includes isometric, isotonic and isokinetic assessments of strength, endurance and joint function
- Versatile Training Options: Supports isometric, isotonic, isokinetic and continuous passive joint training
- Real-Time Visual Feedback: Displays force output and movement information to guide controlled and engaging exercise
- Smart Performance Management: Records sessions, compares assessment results and supports regular programme adjustment
